A wonderful Cottage on The River Side of York, take in the wonderful views from the windows or garden. A gentle stroll a long the banks leads right into the centre. This impressive Two Bedroom cottage with Sofa bed in the lounge can sleep 6.

From York train station it's a 25 minute riverside walk to the cottage. It's about £7 in a cab, or there's a bus - number 7 that stops on Howard Street (at the top of the road). If you arrive by car you can park on the street. Between 9am -5pm, Monday to Friday, parking permits are needed. A have visitor permits for one car per night for guests, due to limitations in the annual guest permit allowance, and permits will only be valid until 10am on the day of check out. Much as I would like to, I'm afraid I can't provide permits for this day.

Garden Cottage is utterly unique: a characterful cottage in a perfect location very close to the city centre. It used to be the gardener's cottage for a big estate and the garden is simply the best spot on the river; there's always a sunlit seat for a morning cuppa, or sit at the patio table with a glass watching the swans go by, and the sun go down. Inside, on the ground floor, there's a sitting room with a log burner, dining table, king-size sofa bed, and plenty of books. There's also the kitchen, utility and a toilet and shower room. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, a small bathroom with a designer tub, and an additional separate toilet. Please note there's no television in the cottage (there is wi-fi).

All bed linen and towels are provided. Kitchen essentials including washing up liquid and tea towels are provided for your convenience along with an iron and ironing board
